Yes, this is a shockingly overdue update. to cut a long story short, the film finally got finished off.
If you want a slightly longer version:
1. I spent ages knocking an initial cut together – this was met with comments like “is that it” and “where’s the tap-dancing scene, you bastard?”
2. I spent even longer editing it some more, adding sound, captions and trying to cut out all the bits in the background where the director was shouting abuse at people.
3. We showed the film as part of the first exciting leamington underground cinema event. I was most surprised to find that I was not chased from the building by an angry mob.
4. A small number of exclusive DVDs were produced and were sold in record breaking time.
5. Looked at the possibility of sending it off for other film nights and festivals.
6. Realised that this was going to cost an absolute fortune, so up loaded the film to Vimeo – but will make a higher quality version available soon, probably via torrent sites and on Blu-ray – and almost certainly containing the legendary Director’s/Producer’ commentary track.
